Ways To Earn Money As A Blogger

Are you a blogger? Are you looking for some ways to earn a little extra money through your blog? Here are some things that I do to bring in a little extra income.
(Be sure to check out my post on how to make money without blogging for some more great options!)

Infolinks is a very simple way to earn a little extra money on your blog. You just create an account, and put the coding that they give you into your blog. It will then add ad links to certain words in your posts, and you earn money from these ads. I have had it for several months, and I have earned around $15 so far. It's not a lot of money, but it's better than nothing, and it's effortless. You don't do anything to it once you get it going.

Sverve is a blogging community similar to Pinterest. You can add your blog posts, and like or share other people's posts. In addition to this, they have what they call "campaigns" that you can apply for. These are from companies looking for bloggers to advertise for them. They usually pay decently well. I recently did a sponsored post for a company that accepted my application, and made $30 off of it. If you apply (and get accepted) for the Sverve campaign, you make $2 for every blogger who signs up for a Sverve account. (I'll make $2 if you sign up through my link.)

Vitacost is a website that sells all kinds of health related products. Supplement, essential oils, natural cleaning products, food, pet items, and much more. Their prices are amazing. If you make an account with them, you can refer people to the site with the unique link they'll give you. Anyone who makes a new account through your link will get a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $30 or more, and then you'll get a $10 credit to spend on's Vitacost's site. You can either save these credits and let them accumulate, or you can spend it right away.

Become an Amazon affiliate. As an Amazon affiliate, you can link to items (once you're an affiliate, it'll actually say "link to this page" at the top of the screen) and insert the links into your blog posts or social media pages. For example, I could tell you about how I really want this awesome water bottle set, and when you click that link, I get a small commission from whatever you buy from Amazon for the next 24 hours, even if you don't buy what I actually linked to. Make sense?

Affiliates. There are a LOT of affiliate programs out there. Most offer 10-15% of all sales that are made through your affiliate links, although some offer only 5%, and some offer 20%.

I am an affiliate for the following:
Bulk Herb Store
Mountain Rose Herbs
Deborah & Co
More Than Alive
Zulily
Cents of Style
Dayspring.

There are tons of affiliate programs out there. You just need to find some that fit your blog. And make sure that you only advertise products that you personally use or approve of! Your reader's trust is highly valuable!

  1. I found your post through the Modest Monday Link Up. I'm still fairly new to blogging and dreaming of making money with it :) I've joined quite a few launch teams and affiliate programs, (including Amazon), but no money yet. How long did it take before you started actually making money with your blog?

    1. Thanks for stopping by! It took a good while before I consistently started making money (and honestly, I still don't make a whole lot). Amazon is my biggest money maker. My next biggest is an affiliate program for a business that I am very passionate about. That's really important when trying to monetize your blog. You need to make sure you really agree with, and love, the products/services you're promoting. People can tell if you're just trying to make a buck, and your integrity is important! :) :)
Blessings to you, and I hope your blog does well!
